Bio
Leslie Korein was born a tiny baby in Philadelphia, PA. After developing fine motor skills, cognitive reasoning and language*, Leslie moved to New York and began performing with Trike, The Story Pirates and wrote the musical Girl Camp, running at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Several things happened in between.
Leslie is an avid cook, a fervent explorer and an impassioned actor.
She is extremely grateful to have shared the stage and screen with The NY NeoFuturists, Cubicle and some of the best improvisers in New York City. Ms. Korein has won several awards. Did you know that? She also performed at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC this year with The Story Pirates. She knows, she couldn't believe it either!
Leslie performs every Saturday with the Story Pirates at 2 PM, has some brunch, runs some errands, and then performs at 10:30 PM with the improv group Trike! She is also a teaching artist and goes into schools and homes to educate, entertain and get educated and entertained. Leslie knows that she has a pretty sweet deal going on.
*Leslie has never developed gross motor skills.
